Roots and Derivatives

Word List
  1. aqua- water; a liquid. The proteins have to be mixed with aqua. 
  2. aquaculture- the cultivation of aquatic animals and plants. A job in aquaculture must pay a lot and be very fun.
  3. aqueous-of like or containing water. An Aquarian is full of aqueous tanks.
  4. armada-any fleet of warships? The armada gives of a great impression. 
  5. armature- the protecting cover of an animal or plant. A plant's armature protects it from harsh weathers. 
  6. armistice-a temporary suspension of hostilities by agreement of warring parties. During a war there is usually an armistice.
  7. artifact- any object made by human being. When traveling it is always nice to take back artifacts made is that place as memories.
  8. artifice-a clever trick or stratagem. Villains in movies use an artifice to try to capture the hero.
  9. artisan-a person skilled in an applied art. Artisans create beautiful artifacts that can be displayed. 
  10. millennium- a period of one thousand years. Some myths started as long as a millennium ago.
  11. perennial- lasting for a long undefined time. Some of our traditions with be moved along a perennial. 
  12. superannuated- retired because of age or infirmity.
